The Piave is the greatest Venetian river; it takes origin from the Monte Peralba, near Sappada, in the Dolomites, and flows in the Adriatic Sea at Cortellazzo, next to Jesolo.
The river, great and tumultuous, creates in the lowland of Treviso the vast territory of the Grave, in which the water flows among stones and bushes.
Fighting place of the 1st Great War, it preserves still today the traces of that event.
